Personal Statement
I know that in order to achieve my goal of playing D1 college soccer, the responsibility for my continued growth as a player rests on me. That includes a commitment to train outside my team environment, a sharp focus on areas of my game that I can develop further, an openness to embracing feedback from coaches, and opportunities to play and practice at the highest levels possible. In these areas, I believe I am creating the habits that will allow me to reach my full potential as a player.
As my resume illustrates, I never decline an opportunity to compete and train at the highest levels available to me (ECNL, GA, ODP, USLW, US YNT Talent ID Centers, HS, MLS Next boys training). I work relentlessly outside of practice on my fitness and technical ability. I pride myself in being coachable and try my best to incorporate every bit of feedback I receive.
I know the value of my education and will always work diligently on my academics. That said, what drives me more than anything in my life right now is a passion to take my soccer to the very highest level possible for me. I am seeking a college program — teammates, coaches, environment — that will challenge me and foster life-long friendships as I continue this journey.
